Re: Just arrived
My only criticism would be, all the phono sockets are the correct way up, IE, left at the top and right at the bottom, but, the speaker outputs are upside down, but that is just me being me. As for age, well the KIT and KAT EL 34 amps were about in the mid 1990's if that is any help. BOB

Re: Just arrived
Bob, do you align screw slots in the same direction as well ?
Anal, or attention to detail ?

Re: Just arrived
I didn't think there was a "right way" for speaker terminals. I am sure I have seen them both ways up.
Great looking amp though, someone has made a lot of effort. Phil.

Re: Just arrived
Yes, and the channel selector relay circuit arrived under the WD banner in 2007.

Re: Just arrived
Yes the original KEL34 with toroidal mains and output TXs was Oct 1998. I built one and loved it. The EI output TX version was introduced June 1999 and still had a toroidal mains TX. So I don't think your mains TX is from that WAD kit. The OPTXs may be are there any numbers on any of the TXs?
I can see Bob's logic about the terminals but all Quads for example have the Red posts on top and original KEL34 used XLR sockets |
