Re: Tweaking the Settings
Stuart,
You can either use the 'forum jump' drop down box at the bottom right hand corner, or go to the top and use the links just under the HFW logo. TTFN. |

Re: Tweaking the Settings
Alternatively, if you change the thread length settings in "User CP>Edit Options>Number of threads to show per page" to the maximum of 40, then you will find that very few threads ever get beyond the first page Stuart, and then there is no need to trawl through pages and pages. Apologies if you have already done this, but AFAIK, only the "Welcome" and "Lenco plinth project" thread has passed 40 posts, and gone onto a second page, up to now on this new BB, using the "40 threads per page" settings. HTH.

Re: Tweaking the Settings
I agree Stuart, it is a bit of a pain - I just switch to "New Posts".

Re: Tweaking the Settings
Hi all,
and thanks for the info - I just found the WAD site so easy to navigate, ie. your on a General thread and then want to see what's for sale - easy drop to bottom of the page - scroll and you were there - do others agree that a renag to the WAD style board would be better? Black Stuart |

Re: Tweaking the Settings
Is the forum jump drop down box at the bottom right of the page not good enough for this?

Re: Tweaking the Settings
Hi Matt,
to give an example - I was looking at the 'what are you listening to now' thread - I posted a reply BUT on the WAD board I could scroll through previous replies whilst composing a reply, this I found enormously helpful and time saving- do others agree? also at the bottom right hand corner there was the forums bar - click and you were back at the home page - here not - why not, very simple. I do agree with RayP (worrying that) I feel that there is too much segmentation. As Peter is so hands on (I hope this does'nt change Peter), give this b/b a little time to see how we all adjust or don't and then maybe tweak it a bit - this does seem to be a sensible way of appraising it. Re: Tweaking the Settings
Bit confused now Stuart, I can see other posts when replying, and there is the jump to forums list on the bottom right.

Re: Tweaking the Settings
Even when posting using 'quick reply' you can scroll up the postings on that page.
