I have a pair of large floorstanding BKS speakers (Danish). Large ribbon for mid and high, and a cone bass. Marble sided (weigh a ton)! Smaller brothers (107's) were favourably reviewed in HFN a couple of years back. Drive them with Conrad-Johnson valve amps (EL34's in push pull....I know, I know). Lovely natural sound and decent bass.

I like the idea of a 2 way with a bit of bass extension. I've been looking at the IPL S3TLM Magnesium Ribbon TL's but never have been able to pull the trigger (ribbon - yes, but "under" a smallish LF driver). Something like the WD floorstander, but with a ribbon would be very attractive.
