Hello all

Please don't forget that the Platinum Archive CD ROM is now back on sale. It costs £20 and there are many opportunities for serendipitous discovery beyond any immediate enquiry. I don't want to "dampen" anyone's goodwill (it's what we're here for and enjoy), but it would be good by me if the starting point for circuit diagrams, tweaks etc - if appropriate - might be considered to be the Platinum Archive. Plenty of opportunity later for favours to be offered and taken up!

I do hope that doesn't sound greedy - but we do have overheads at WD Towers you know, and £20 is a bargain!

Cheers

Matthew

Hi Colin and Mathew,

No problem, I completely understand! It certainly was not my intention to tread on anyone's toes. Thanks Colin for your offer of help and thanks Mathew for all your work too.

I do have a copy of the CD I bought from you a number of years ago, but it doesn't contain the original k5881 MK2 build instructions. Do you know where I might be able to source those from?

Kind regards,

Zak

Hi Zak,

Yes indeed, I've just checked and the 3 versions of K5881 are all covered in 5 multi-page articles on the New WD Platinum CD from Matthew http://www.world-designs.co.uk/cd%20rom.htm

Hi Matthew,

Yes an excellent point and it's great the forum has continued for so long on the back of so much goodwill as you say.

It's fair to say the New Platinum CD has been a while in the updating and many of us may not know it's now available!! http://www.world-designs.co.uk/cd%20rom.htm

I'll post a sticky at the top of the News section
