Yes, shortly, in not-so-good-conditions, (=at a show), but with pretty familiar loudspeakers. Sounded very impressive. Powerful, not talking about watts (consrvatively rated, 750v, triode-strapped) but drive it generated with some CD-player reminded me of some good idlers.
It has 6lsl7 srpp input+el34 driver. Basically, its just there. Just add some pedigree in PS side and have a 50w SE
I guess it is pretty good valve.

And, I am still trying to get rid of that monster PS, before I start playing with it. Anyone interested? I could swap it in a 401

Edit: On-topic, have played a while now with some Isotek PC. Makes mucho more difference I thought it should. Noise floor, detail level, transparency, dynamics, tone color, smoother treble. I guess got to try some other also before spending any money..

Are these beasts so specialised, or could WD maybe publish a design or offer a kit? Where I live, mains quality is very variable, but I don't fancy spending £500 + for something which might or might not make a difference.
