More normal? Ha! I've jump through a hoop to avoid that cap. I've rebuilt the second monoblock and plugged it all in. Must say I've got a big improvement. The bass is tighter, faster, not bloated like before. Must say the most improvement is in the cd. Fiona Apple's first cd inspired my "pipe organ" comment. Well, the bass is there, sounds right, but with an impact now.

I figure LP's dont benefit as much because I've made the same mistakes in the phono stage psu - highly resistive. Well, I have everything sitting out in the "shed" to sort that out too.
