Spot on there Stuart! A great singer / songwriter. Love all of her albums and a lot of the 10,000 Maniacs stuff as well.

Spinning recently:

Talk Talk - Colour of Spring on LP, fantastic all analogue recording from '86
Talking Heads - 77, fleabay purchase a bit worn but grin inducing!

On CD -
Neil Diamond - 12 Songs, powerfull stuff from the heart
Lucinda Williams, Car wheels on a Gravel Road
James Blunt - Back to Bedlam, overrated, hyped poop (IMHO)
Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins - Rabbit Fur Coat, a cross between Lucinda Williams and Mazy Star, nice harmonys and different styles.
Renee Austin - Sweet Talk, Blues / Rock female artist trying too hard to 'get down'!

This afternoon all LPs:

1. The End - Introspection, British Psych, produced by Bill Wyman.

2. Billy Cobham - Spectrum, I love load drums!!

3. Blossom Toes - We Are Ever So Clean, another British Psych LP from the late 60's.

4. Eagles - yes I know the Eagles, but I like one particular track from One of These Nights - Journey of the Sourcerer (think of Hitch Hiker's Guide).

Can't wait till tomorrow what LPs will I find at the local Boot sale.

Prince- Musicology (CD)

A recording so dry I need a glass of water next to my chair or I'll dehydrate Occasional sub-bass so low you think next doors washing machine is faulty!

Lovely sound (to me), great songs covering all the usual Prince subjects...ahem .

Marcus Miller-Tales. Also 'nice'

Just ordered from Amazon a 3-CD Natalie Merchant box-set, including Ophelia. A friend has just named a child Ophelia (unless the text message is having me on, which I hope is the case) & I thought I'd burn Nat's song for her. Couldn't find my copy, hence this box-set. All for £8!!

Always test my tweaks/mods listening to Steve Earle, especially 'My Old Friend The Blues' from his first LP 'Guitar Town'.

Cool Re: what are you listening to now

Whiteflier,
my bad English. I bought my first NM CD about 7 years ago. The 'Motherland' copy I bought is HDCD. I heard a track from Tigerlily on Late Junction - played by, of course - Verity Sharpe.

Buddam - that was a steal 3 CDs for £8. which were they.I should get Ophelia from Germany next week.
