:p

Back in my Tardis (in the voice of Tom Baker) I decided to join Sarah Jane Smith & K9 and listen to a few of the latest pop groups from earth during the late 1960s and early 1970's - Oh! darn it who's that at the door? Why it's Lefbridge Stewart and Sergeant Benton - another dream world, sorry.

However, can't wait to see Elizabeth Sladen next week in the new Doctor Who series - she hasn't changed.

Back to HiFi, this afternoon's Lps were:

May Blitz II (if you get a chance listen, interesting rock from the early 70's)
Warhorse - S/T (Deep Purple related - the lead singer sang for Rick Wakeman)
The End - Introspection (60s Psych - the best track, Under the Rainbow)
Iron Butterfly - Metamorphosis (wow, Butterfly Blue, pure heavy man)

and on CD issued 2005 - Pink Floyd, London 1966/1967, paid £2.00 this morning at a local Boot Sale, superb, I will look for the DVD version.

Though, the best from above has to be The End on Decca, a nice taste of
60's Psych produced by Bill Wyman.

Red face Re: what are you listening to now

Hi all!

Nice and cool in the loft with this good weather so on with the vinyl and valves. Today I gave the neighbours a treat and played from my trusty gramophone system:

Kak - S/T (1960's Psych)
Sacred Mushroom - S/T (again more from the 60's)
Green Bullfrog - S/T (a weird mixtue of Deep Purple , ten Years After and Guests - early 70's) you'll need to search Google for details.
Finally, a great track from 1978 that will make Tommy Vance fans cry very tearfully (The Frdiay Rock Show title track) - The Dixie Dregs - From the LP "What if" - track "Take it off the top". Have a search for sound samples off Google or whatever Search Engine you use - you'll know the track instantly.:p

What a shame the Bank Holiday is over back to work tomorrow - *************!!!

Ah well, the money pays for more records.

That sounds like a fun afternoon.

I've been enjoying this video by the Polysics, just goes to show what can be done with very little money, a good idea and a great performance:
