I retired at 55 and like it, had a knee replacement at 59, took up cycling, ride to the local pub on Sunday with a couple of chums, 24 miles, get ****ed, and ride home, have dinner, go to sleep. BOB

These amps are still in action, here is a pic of one now, slightly different from last pic in that the GK-71 filament supply is different.

Latest mod (today) is to replace the driver valve (12HG7) grid leak resistor with a 640H grid choke.
These came from a Taiwan seller on Ebay for about £40 all in, and no import duty. Initial impressions are favourable. Anyone else tried grid chokes ?
