Hi, going for this, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1207470124...t_5420wt_1012I think it must be the same as your's but for the power supply.
I'm letting the soldering iron cool down for a bit after I've finished my Ferrograph inspired DIY power amp.

A lot of folk seem to say the dac board takes a long time to burn in, around 200 hours, so be patient. I have changed to board in my dac, and it does sound pants compared to the run in one, so I'll have to be patient too.

c'mom Ali, that's nigh on 2 weeks.
I'll be tearing my hair out (what's left) by Christmas, as you can bet I won't be able to unwrap it till then.
Just had a thought though, I'll get my girlfriend to power it up in the spare room till Christmas and then it will be ready for me.

Well I am lost for words on this one tonight I desised to try out the Dac on my Blue Ray DVD player So what am I going to play well not being a film buff much that left music concerts so what do I have in blue ray music DVD well no blue rays there is next to nothing available on blue ray for live concerts

So just recently I re got a copy of SADE LIVE I Had this on video tape years ago and it sounded good then well mixed and you can hear all the instruments as well couldn’t get it on blue ray so its standard DVD so using the (AK4396) DAC was just brilliant sound is big to scale clean and detailed imaging is just amazing and it maybe just got 60 hour on now not sure stopped counting

Hi all,
It is worth commenting that DVD Audio has the availability of 5/6 channels of 24/96 audio for surround sound plus 2 channels of 24/192 for really hi quality stereo. I believe that when you add the video you are limited to just the 5/6 24/96 audio.

Hi all,
My Chinese dac arrived today 8 days from ordering.
I have been allowed to test it for 30 seconds to see if it works, It'll next see the light of day Christmas morning.
In normal use are any lights supposed to be on, as there are no instructions.

Hi colin,
I have this dilema every Chistmas and birthday as I pick my own presents. That way I always get what I want.

Do all the lights go off except power when playing.
