Ah, it was all in the same sentence though, so it was natural to assume that. Are you saying close tolerance resistors do reduce hiss though?

I wanted to PM you on this but the PM facility seems to be unavailable.

You need to recognise that Colin posts in a certain style because he is dyslexic. I know he won't mind me revealing this because he has always been public about it himself. Several years ago, I had to apologise to him when I was ignorantly rude about his message construction. He was most gracious in response. Since then, and I believe others like me who belong to the same forums as Colin, naturally think through his valuable postings to properly comprehend what he says. It is a credit to him that he continues to contribute in the way he does. Keep it coming please, Colin

Trying to get my head around what you, Dave and Matthew have posted, it seems to me that your new Phono is basically an original Phono 3 with some tweaks to the earthing. It is offered as a no hum unit without SUT's. That means it's no hum for moving magnet application. What is the situation for moving coil use? Are you saying that hum appears when the necessary SUT's are introduced?

Regards,

Greg

Hi Dave and Matthew,

Sorry and sadly, you guys are doing nothing to inspire confidence for your future. In terms of marketing your recent messaging has been poor quality. One line answers, even one word answers to members questions are totally inadequate and do nothing to enhance your company. Where is your salesmanship?

Furthermore, checking the WD catalogue, there is no corresponding update on the Phono stage that a potential customer would need to use to make an order. As for special cap sale offers, the site is apparently still under construction. There is absolutely no point in posting offers here (including postage charges) if the order facility is not available. I can't think of a better way to turn off a potential customer.

With my personal very long involvement with WAD/WD, I am so hoping you can get your act together because I want WD to be successful and continue. Everything I read from you guys at the moment smarts of marketing amateurism. Surely Dave, with all your commercial experience, you can do much better? Maybe it's a forum thing that you are not comfortable with. That would make sense. If so, for goodness sake, learn how to do it properly or sign it over to someone who does! At the moment, nothing you are doing here is being helpful to WD regardless of your product progress reports. You are loosing long term contributing members in droves and you don't have the massive magazine support that originally got WAD and later WD floating.

IMHO, you need to take a serious rain check on your overall marketing practice, especially how you do stuff on the forum.

Regards,

Greg

I think Greg might mean the "special offers" section, which is where one might think special offers would be ?
