Hi Peter

Can you clarify please as I have no wish to transgress?

"I just bought a enter-commercial-device-name-here. Anybody got any good ideas for modding it?"

Is this OK or not?

Thanks

Mark

Yes... Thanks for sorting mine out too Peter. After changing the BB style to "bulletin", It looks almost identical to the last BB I used to frequent. No home sickness for me. All the best for the future Peter, with WD, and many thanks for organising a replacement BB for us all to congregate and communicate on. Happy new year everyone.

Hi Peter,

I too would like to know if we can discuss commercial designs and kits by other companies. We would of course remember that you host us so there should be no comments such as the xxx is much better than the a WD kit. The vast majority of the discussions should be around WD or own developed DIY. Until more WD kits arrive we'll have to discuss idler decks some more, if there's anything left to say!

Regards,

Clive

Hi there everyone, we've made the jump then, nice. I've taken the opertunity to change my user name from icoopertopia to freefallrob just to bring me inline with any other forum i'm on....

I haven't any DIY builds or valve projects right now ( have in the past ), but do like to tweak and i'm interested in Direct Drive TT's, cartridges and vinyl mainly. ...

All the best for the future.,

Rob.

Discussion of other company's kits is fine by me. I just don't want members Advertising kits in which they have a commercial interest and promoting sales of them using a forum which is meant for World Designs and Hi-Fi World sponsored kits.

So if you are using or building another company's kit(s) then put them in the DIY project section.

Our aim is to build a lively discussion to do with all things in DIY audio. The UK used to be one of the most active communities for DIY, but this has lapsed in the past decade. Noel and I want to bring that enthusiasm back and if it is centred round this forum then so much the better.

Yes, sorry about that, it's taking me a bit of time to find my round vBulletin.

As FiveTwenty says you can now upload custom avatars.

Thanks for the clarification Peter

That's perfectly clear and reasonable.

Cheers

Mark
