just looked at the one he took out under a magnifying glass - now with the laser pointing downwards and looking at the ribbon cable (one side comes down straight - the other side 'bells' out at the bottom end about an extra 3/8") - now the 1st track (straight side) comes all the way down except for the last 1/2" - whether he has damaged it removing it or it has blown I do not know - I will have to have a look and see if the new one he has fitted is the same tomorrow - I hope this makes sense to someone out there

Hi,take alook at the page laser maintenance on the lampisator website.

Hi again just looked at the old laser I removed and the first track ends like you say doesnt go to a connection.

Can you post some images of inside the player around the socket of the ribbon cable

right just looked at the pics in the link you posted and in the second set of stuff they have for the CD63 it's on the second pic down on the lowwer left hand side - the ribbon cable - will pull it out tomorrow and have a look under the glass - cheers -

The end of lampizator service announcement: as of end of june 2010 the lampizator service does not accept new enquiries. all our resources will be allocated to lampizator dac production. therefore it is a difficult strategic decision to remove the other services like repairs, lampization of cd players, and music angel reworks.

The importance and significance of the dac is such that i have no choice.
