Re: 45's and 33's
SteveS,
you have to get to a car boot before they open, see my earlier post. Matt, BHASVIC has been incredibly good to me and I have bought some superb LPs there. When you've only paid 50p - £1 for something if it's **** just recycle the plastic. External condition - never judge an LP by it's cover you have to examine the vinyl itself. For those that don't know - if you are the first (it's always best) to look through a box of LPs - always select those you are interested in, move to one side, so that others can look and examine each record carefully- it is as simple as that. Bargains - well I bought the original Decca La Boheme with Pavaroti in absolute mint condition for £2. Loads of boxed 60s' sets of Bruckner/Mahler/Beethoven/Mozart and so many 70's singer/songwriters, that if I'd bought new in the 70s' would now be knackered. It was inevitable that s/hand LPs would become a major market and I always found it refreshing to get up early to do the car boots and when I've popped for some goodies it's a nice feeling to know you did'nt need to hand over fists full of cash. What always made me laugh was the idiots paying £3-5 for s/hand CDs. Black Stuart |
