how sad

zerogain and wigwam are largely inhabited by anal obsessed saddos, and these types do the rounds
I think they started them so they could slag off the forums they'd been banned from,

What a waste of time this 'drew peacock' has been!

I've deleted him as a user, but it's really difficult to stop this sort of thing as he hadn't, actually, become an active member.

Anyway we're still doing everything we can to avoid this type of forum hacking. There's a new version of vBulletin on its way which will help even further.

Occasionally I get emails saying this forum is difficult to join because of the anti-spam measures we have in place. I'm sorry for that, but it's in the best interests of this forum and its members that we do make it a two stage, delayed, process with rigorous email checks.

Been looking at The Art Of Sound, and they're OK over there. Different tastes from most of us here, but interesting and helpful.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, Shane. We hope we're a friendly bunch!

We started The Art of Sound because we wanted to be different from other forums, particularly those mentioned earlier by Ianm2 and David. We felt there was a niche for the type of site we had in mind.

As you will see, we are more dealer, manufacturer and 'hobbyist'-friendly than other forums, although you guys here have the monopoly on D.I.Y valve experts! However we wanted to provide in particular a platform for dealers and manufacturers to discuss and promote their products without being subjected to the endless abuse seen elsewhere by people with obviously some kind of agenda.

We believe that dealers, manufacturers, and the hi-fi press have something worthwhile to contribute and value their input on forum discussions, consequently there are quite a few participating accordingly!

Anyway, you guys are most welcome on our site anytime, particularly in the D.I.Y section where would love to hear about some of your projects. I'll be putting up a permanent link to the World designs forum in our 'Creative Collections' section where we advertise other useful sites to our members. Once again I would like to thank Petercom for allowing me the opportunity to introduce The Art of Sound to all World Designs members.
