Note that if on a wifi connection you may not get full speed. If it's a laptop take it near the router to see any difference, it's a useful tool to check real-world coverage around the house etc.

Another useful free tool is metageek inSSIDer which let's you scan the networks around you and see their channels and relative strengths so you can choose a clear channel,

Still not bad Col 14MBps, I've never felt the need to pay for anything over the minimum included broadband amount going back to when it was 1 or 2 Megs with NTL I think.

Of course content/downloads increase as the webs got faster but some rooms in our house can only manage 5 megs on wifi and they're quite usable. Heck we were on here when it was 28K and 56K dial-up - they were the days - not

Yes the 14/15mbps I get still lets me stream TV stuff when wanted

Colin, what you get is certainly not ****, I'm lucky to get 5 or 6 MBPS on a good day, and a lot less when all the others in the village are on-line.
