Smile KLS 1 loudspeaker design

Several years ago I built the KLS 1 loudspeakers (designed by Hifi World). Unfortunately I no longer have the supplement / article that came with the magazine at that time. What I need is the crossover design. Can anyone help? These were the first (I do believe) loudspeakers designed by Hifi World and are three-way units using Morel bass and midrange drivers and a ribbon tweeter.
Regards,
Dimitrie.

Smile Re: KLS 1 loudspeaker design

Hi Philip,

I most definitely do need them and would be most greatful if you could scan them in. The speakers sound really good - basically a well-balanced and listenable speaker. The bass is deeeeep but well-controlled while the treble is crystal clear (but I would suspect that carefull matching with a suitable amp is important - I'm using a valve pre-power combination). They present a very large soundstage. The problem that I have is with the midrange. The vocals have a slightly unnatural or a bit over the top character, and I have a sneaking suspicion that the crossover may well be at fault (even though they were built according to the drawings, I had no possibility to test them). Fortunately I have a couple of working mates that have both the knowledege and the equipment to test and hopefully adjust the crossovers. Actually it's going to be interesting to see what we can achieve here. I'll keep ypu posted. Looking forward to hearing from you. I have a couple of email addresses:

Regards,
Dimitrie.

Hi, I moved the thread as these were originally a WAD product.

Interested to see you have early supplements, Pre65, as these are missing from our collection. Any chance of a borrow?
