Default SP Wound Components Ltd.

No website.

Manufacturers of early WAD kit Tx's such as the original 300B PP.

Can make to order new/replacement sets to spec.

Their service is supportive although may be a little quirky. Delivery can be efficient being a few weeks after order, but a single order could take up to six months. Best communication is by telephone, but don't phone after 10am on a Friday because they don't answer

Ask for Geoff Budden.

SP Wound Components Ltd,
Unit 12,
Stanley Green Crescent Industrial Estate,
Poole,
Dorset,
BH15 3TH,
UK.

Tel. 01202 682828.

SP also did transformers for 5881PSE. Knew exactly what I was talking about when I asked for one, though not been produced for about ten years, and offered upgraded vesion at same price.
Took over a month (over Christmas period), but I don't expect them to stop the factory for my one-off request. Very satsified with service. Very confidence inspiring.

I bought all the tranformers for my Beam Echo mono blocks when I built them thats where the Avantic company use to buy them before they went bust. They wound them to order for me to original spec and they only took 3 weeks from placing the order to delivery, also they didn't cash my cheque until they were nearly ready to send them great service.

Default Sp wound components

Geoff is now advertising on ebay and deserves our support as an english supplier of valve transformers.

Here is a link to one of his products, please buy transformers off him, as we don't have many in this country to choose from

Although I did not proceed to order, this supplier was quick to provide a quote and pointed out some useful features he would incorporate in his transformers.

Good service

Mark
