Spare bits for old Oryx soldering iron
The current discussions on soldering irons prompted me to look again for replacement soldering bits, as I had over previous years found no reference to old-type Oryx soldering irons closer than South Africa.
I was most pleased to find Brewsters Ltd, 01752 665011, in Plymouth (Devon, UK - for anyone reading this from abroad). http://www.soldering-shop.co.uk/cata...593a8fc728591f I suspect they have a one-off limited stock of these, though they did not actually say so. These arrived promptly & appear to fit my 1978 Oryx50. Alastair I also discovered that the South African source selling the irons has now a website. |
