Default Class A HA by Richard Brice

Hi All,
Has anyone got a copy of the article and circuit that Richard published in HFW in 1994 I think. They also sold a PCB on which I built the little amp but unfortunately I seem to be missing Jan to May issues of that year. I think it was in the main body of the mag not a diy supplement.
I’ve just found the one I built but have no paperwork or details so wanted to give it a quick once over before using it. I seem to remember it ran on a 12v dual rail supply but I may be wrong.
Thanks for any help
All the best
Martin

Supplement No. 9, August 1994. It mentions the earlier article/s.

This thread caught my interest so I dug out my WD Gold Archive CD but I have only got the Three Way Carbon Fibre Drive Unit Loadspeaker from Supplement 9 August 1994 on the CD. Any ideas how to get a copy of the Class A HA article please ?

Thanks

Mark

I would be happy to scan the original articles and forward to you but I must clear it with Matthew first. In the meantime, please PM me your email address.

Hi both
If you have any problems I got copies now I’ve found it.
If I remember correctly it was a nice sounding simple little amp. There is also a little jumper to invert phase to one ear from one of op amps

All,

Thanks for your help. I have pinged my email address to Gregg. I see there is a Platinum Archive CD available from WD. Can anyone tell me what was added to the Gold CD to make it Platinum please ? (apart from the article I am looking for !). I might make it a late Xmas present to myself :-).

Thanks

Mark

In order to assist Mark, I want to be absolutely clear what we are talking about here as there may be some inaccuracies in posts above.

HFW Supplement No6 (Dec 93) ran a Pt1 article titled ‘RIAA Head Amp’. No mention of the designer was made albeit the article was written by Dominic Baker.
Pt2 was in Supplement No7 (April 94) titled ‘DIY Phono Head Amplifier- Part 2’ which stated the designer was Andy Grove and not Richard Brice as suggested by Martin above.

Martin, please can you clarify if the articles I’m referring to are the ones you initially meant and were seeking. Thanks.
