Re: suggestions for vinyl
Ry cooder - Jazz, Cross Roads & Borderline lp's, (stunning sound quality).
Little Feat - Dixie Chicken. Simple Minds - Live In The City Of Light. Simply Red's - Picture Book. Goldfrapp - Supernature. Elvis Costello - King of America. Morcheeba - Big Calm. The James Bond soundtracks. Big Country - Peace In Our Time. Anything by the Eurythmics. Might not be quite your taste but they all sound stunning to me. Oxfam music & Sweet Memories (online shop) are my favorite sources, Eil.com may also be worth a look.

Re: suggestions for vinyl
David, just in case you don't know them, Diverse Vinyl are good, a wide selection of new stuff and classic re-issues. They even do some second hand.

Re: suggestions for vinyl
The one's I return to again and again
Rickie Lee Jones Rickie Lee Jones Van Morrison Wavelength and Moondance Neil Young Harvest Moon John Martyn Grace and Danger and Solid Air Joni Mitchell Hejira and Blue Who Quadrophenia Whos Next Dave Brubeck Time Out almost all by steely dan esp Aja and Gaucho Keith Jarrett the Koln Concert Laura Nyro New York Tendaberry Dire Straits Dire Straits Miles Davis Sketches of Spain In a silent Way My free tip is if you're not sure about a new artist you can often see then on youtube either live or as music to a video, easiest way to sample an unknown artist I know |

Re: suggestions for vinyl
Beatles - "Let It Be....Naked", plus pretty well everything recommended so far. Oh, and "Crime Of The Century" by Supertramp, reissued by Speakers Corner (best cut and press you'll get of this album).
Diverse list both as in stock. Chris

Re: suggestions for vinyl
thanks for the ideas guys,
I do have a fairly eclectic taste in music but for example I don't have any Led Zep, should I have and which one?, also no Hendrix, and again which one to get?, Ry Cooder is a good suggestion I've liked what I've heard, I quite like late 60s folk, any ideas in that direction? anyway thanks for the ideas so far

Re: suggestions for vinyl
I assume you want vinyl with great music and great sound -
Muddy Waters sings Big Bill. A Blues band with exactly the right amount of whisky and reefer aboard. Mike & Lal Waterson's Bright Phoebus. A lost classic. Raw. open with wonderful and silly songs |
