I wander what the tfe balls would be like in roller ball isolation system, and maybe also as bearings in TT spindles?

Do you think if i phoned them up, gave them some waffle about a big project, they might do me a few of each suitable ball to try out in the lenco's bearing?
I assume they will have some kind of minimum order.
I keep meaning to call them but always forget.

Worth a try, it works for some people. I remember many years ago a guy in the far east getting some free Black Gates that way, so he said anyway. He was a nice sort of student type, we were all very pleased for him. It's always nice when a student of electronic engineering chances upon our geekish little world.

Hi Graeme,

Whilst you're at it, inquire about 19mm PTFE balls that'll suit the DIY isolators some of us use for supporting TT plinths. Thanks.

Best wishes,

Greg

Yes I was struggling to think of what size to suggest, that would do it, we could probably manage a group order which would get the receptionist to sit up instead of carrying on to manicure her nails and talk to her mate in Australia on the other line. I know what they're like I used to be a despatch rider. Take a tip from me if you want a receptionist who doesn't misappropriate company funds, don't get a pretty little thing.

ok, so its 5mm balls for lenco bearings and 19mm bals for isolation.
How many 19mm per deck, are you using them in a supported pyramid, or one per 'foot' as it were.
