Default Anyone having log in problem

Hi All
It seem one or two of the members are having trouble logging in including my self
pleas inform us if you are having this problem
Mike said
When I log in, I have to refresh the page, but when I try to post, I keep on being told to log in, even though the "log out" option is is being displayed. When I try to log in again, I just get, "you are not logged in. If I refresh the page I loose whatever post/reply I've typed in.
I have to "copy" what I've just typed, before posting it. Then if it does not post, I can just paste it again, instead of typing it all again.
It is one of the reasons, I'm not on here often.
PS this just happened again when I edited this post
Thanks all
Colin

Hi Colin,

There is an adjustable session time out which was set at 15 mins of no activity. I've changed it to 30 mins so see if it helps.

Yes it's always safer to copy/paste any long posts from your word programme in case you become logged out for any reason, or if you refresh the page accidentally, which will lose a post from the message box.

If it does log you out during a post follow the on screen instruction to log in again without refreshing first and it may log you in again and save the post.

And yes I copy and paste my posts from word as I have got the tee shirt on losing post after taking ages to type them

You have entered an invalid username or password. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

It says this, but is also giving me the option to log out!

Hi Mike,

How do you get to the site, I come directly from a favourites link to, http://www.world-designs.co.uk/forum/

Is your browser, IE or Firefox etc, set to clear browsing history on exit? You may not want to do that of course but mine is and I have no trouble so I'm wondering if your issue is due to an old page being used at log-in which has timed out.

Try the direct link and when the page is open, press F5 (or Ctrl and F5) or the refresh icon in the address bar to re-load the latest sign-in page, see if that helps.

Working today. If I get a message to my Yahoo to say someone has posted here, I click on that link. IE 8. Mike.
