Cd player vibrations ?

Morning All

durring a short moment of peace last night I read a piece in a well known hifi news mag ( jan 2006 ) on the effects of noise/vibrations toward the jitter levels in cd re-play.

It has created a large question and if you have seen this article (pages 68 -71) you may be able to help me.

- Looking at the figures 3 to 5 on page 71 - which would you say was the less effected? If like me you feel its fig5, why has the peice been ended " its good that modern digital disc players appear to have suppressed vibration-induced jitter effects to insignificant levels" ?

No wondered its going down hill.

please do have a look if you see it in the newsagents - the fig5 is the readings of the jitter picked up by the Acram Black box ( tda1541 chip ). The image shows a lower noise floor than the Merdian 508.24 and Acram dv89.

have emailed them and am awaiting a reply.
