Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply and I respect your take on this. I should qualify that regarding my own argument, I have no personal interest. I possess 100% of all the DIY articles and for convenience also have the Arcive CD which actually doesn't hold everything!

Regards,

Greg

What I find funny, in a suitable self-mocking manner, is that I INTENDED to subscribe but I can't remember if I did!

Well I haven’t subscribe due to the fact I have maybe 80% of the diy supplements that came with HiFI World Mag but i agree with Greg's idea to upload all the articles to the form so we can download at small cost perhaps for the ones we require

Dave et al,

Thanks for all the replies. I am in for whatever you decide. i am in no hurry for the CD or the access, if you decide that is the way to go. I just like reading and designing from the information available.

I like the idea of putting the info on the website, and then having people pay for a link up, like I did before the takeover. Only my humble opinion.

Myles

Question Re: Wishing for Contact from Dave C, John C, or Richard SM

Were there any more files on the on-line subscription, than were on the latest CD ROM? The last file being 1809??

I'm dubious about this!

Regards

Dave

Dave,

Now you are taxing my 57 year old memory I remember seeing the 1809 and it was at the start of a list of speaker designs that (I think) carried on until 1910. Most of the amp/preamp articles were before the 1809.

I may be wrong about this, but Greg who replied to the thread (and has all the articles) should be able to clarify.

Cheers,

Myles

Hi Myles and Dave,

Sorry, I can't help much. I just have the CD which I got in Feb 2009 and it goes up until article 1705, Designing Speakers Pt 8. I never used the online service. It may well be that articles were added online which had not been updated on any current CD option.

Regards,

Greg

Designing speakers parts 1-10 were sent out by World Designs as e-mails and I received all 10. They were sent to me daily (one per day) in June 2010 and no payment was requested.

I helped Peter with some back issues of the DIY supplement and he "rewarded" me with a free copy of the finished CD. I did not subscribe to the online service for new information.

Wouldn’t the best thing be for Dave Cawley? Too Contact Peter as I think he was the one who set it up into the WD catalogue just a thought
