Default Audionote M3 preamp circuit.

Hi-whilst idly searching the net looking to see if i could find a preamp design which used an ECL82 (cos i have a couple spare) i came across some "rave" reviews of a new version of the Audionote M3 which uses one in the power supply.

I would like to see the circuit diagram for this, has anyone got a copy ?

That would be interesting, as I am just sketching out a 300b supply that uses one as the control tube (as mr Bench, with a twist)

Hi-i originally bought them for my 45 build, but as i purchased Andrews Rankin DC CC they were relegated to spares.I then was going to build James D single valve amp (the one with all the chokes) but to be honest i dont need any more amps.

I thought a preamp would be nice, the EAR still has a good secondhand value and would finance a high spec build,or perhaps a series 3 WD Pre + phono, its tempting !

Phillip, I have an M8 and can tell you that the power supply also contains a
6X5 rectifier and an OB2 voltage regulator. I beleive it is one of Andy Groves more 'wacky' power supplies. I do not have a cct diagram but I could take a picture of it if you like. Alternatively if you look at the Audionote website you can see the board on the pre-amp and DAC section where it is also used.
