Diamonds - Jet Harris and Tony Meehan.1963?
Credibility saved by the fact that backing guitar was played by one Jimmy Page...
And I was only 11.
6/3d it cost me. About 2 months pocket money.

Pink Floyd. Relics.
I waited for the rest of the family, (and next door neighbours to go out), before playing it on my dad's "classical music" system.

Goldring GL 75, fitted with a Sugden Connoisseur tone-arm, and ADC QLM 36 (mark2) cartridge.
Pioneer amp, and Whalfdale Glendale speakers, built from a kit.
Not embarrassed.

7 inch single.
Hard days night - Beatles.
Bought it for a birthday present to my Aunt when I was about 7 years old.
She never played it. But I did and i've still got it somewhere?

1st LP was Bolan Boogie by T rex.
Thats the embarrasing bit.

1963 - a stomping Trad Jazz/Blues single - I can't remember the band or the title but I can still hear the number clearly in my head. I would still have it but it got ripped off by my dragon of an older sister - she's even worse now.
