Quick update on the amp : the 10 ohm 2 watt resistors came today, and I wired one in as was suggested, and the hum has completely gone, plugged amp into its old mains socket. Checked that the RCA plugs now have that resistance to the chassis, and the mains earth is still fully grounded to the chassis. Thanks for the help guys!
