With AN Silver PIO Caps, still waiting for the AN-V cable to replace a temporary AN-A though.

Actually they are the silver foils, I was disappointed that they had a copper exterior. I fitted one BG-N to the digital board, but found it a nightmare to do so gave up with the rest. I might bite the bullet later and buy the extreme version later which has them as standard.

Yes I was glad to be sitting down when the invoice arrived. The sound is sublime, but Brian was out of AN-V cable when he sent the kit, so I am using the AN-A for a couple of weeks. It should then make the most of the change. I am using it with a Squeezebox 3, that I found uninvolving and sterile, now it is really singing and foot-tappingly good. A few changes beneath the surface of the SB3 itself is probably called for next.

Hi Simon,

I was immediately going to mention the input cable when I saw your pictures here - but I read through the thread. I had the AN-A in my M1 pre, and changed to AN-V along with Cu-PIO signal caps: great improvement.

Neil.

I chickened out of fitting the BGs to the digital board but John C kindly offered to do this for me, (DAC 1.2 kit but the digital board looks little changed). He did a great job and I was more than pleased with the results so may be worth considering if you've spent the money on the bits.
