Default Hello, after 10 years.

Hi
Just logged in, it said last login August 2010. How time flies. Really enjoying catching up reading all the posts. I am rebuilding my KEL84, I bought a new PCB along time ago and have finally got round to doing the rebuild.

Well it lives after many years my KEL84 is working again, new PCB and capacitors. Used some carbon comps I had been saving and bought some.
Thanks to Mathew on the LED. Running some Harma EL84Ls bought from Watford valves many years ago and National E80CF which where in my stash and are near new. Sound is settling down with a evening of R6.
Very pleased and a little relieved that i made o major bloomers, fingers crossed.
Who ever mentioned CAT5 cable for wiring up the passive preamp in the forum, ta. And another thank you for the discussion on leaking coupling caps and the effect on EL84 auto bias, some much useful nuggets on here.
Cheers

Hi Welcome back....you are similar to me. Not been on here much for years, but I'd like to start afresh with new chats, ideas, contacts, and all things valves!! (BTW - I sent a few ££ to Matthew for the Forum costs last night!!)
