Default Orange message indicators

Hi-when a topic has an unread message the lh box is coloured orange.Normally when the message/post has been read the refresh button has to be pressed to remove the orange.

Today (but only for a while) the orange dissapeared as soon as the post was read, unless another topic in the same section was unread.

But it has now reverted back to how it was.

I preferred the new way !

Was that a deliberate change, and if so can it be reinstated ?

Nothing has been changed, but the clue is in you having to Refresh the page. Your browser is hanging on to the page through caching it to your hard drive temporary internet file folder. If the cache fails then your browser will read the page anew without you having to refresh.

You should be able to change this in the Internet Tools section of your browser. Look for a setting that automatically checks for a page update whenever the page is accessed.
