Any idea's?

I am aware that it could be pretty much anything...but some pointing in the right direction would be very gratefully recieved by me.

Did you do any voltage checks before you tried to use the amp?

Check for simple things first !

Is everything before the amp plugged in,switched on and connected ?

Then it's get the meter out time and check for continuity and voltages.

Hi Malka07,

I'm no expert (having not built my own amp's) but i'm thinking possible failure of the high voltage supply?

As the valves are glowing the heater circuit is still ok.

No HT no music.

Let's get back to basics. New build requires completion of the instructions. Instructions require voltage testing. Until this is done, there is little point in commenting further. All suggestions will be p*ssing into the wind.

Fault finding requires a foundation from where to work.

Come back with your results and you have a good chance of getting good advise that will sort you out. Sorry, fundamentally you need to work within the rules. Working it out methodically is not everyones approach but if you do it you'll get a solutuion.
