Dial-up connections
Hi all,
it would appear that the problems I have had with being unable to post/send or recieve pms or even go from thread to thread is down to my connection being dial-up. Thanks to the expensive **** ISP -Telefonica, I have been off-line for 3 days now and I´m sending this from the big city/Granada, at an I/net cafe, which has broadband connection. The software used for this forum is exacly the same as used for Headfi in the States, could it be that there is´nt enough bandwith on this forum as I have absoluely no problems with using that forum at all or indeed any other forum or site on the net. It would be nice if Petercom would address this problem as I am not the only one who has problems. Black Stuart |

Re: Dial-up connections
Seems strange but these things happen. I sometime post from my smart phone using GPRS, this should be about the same speed as your dial-up, it's not a great user experience but it does work.

Re: Dial-up connections
I am posting this on smarty pants dog n bone with gprs, not a nice experience enduring the scrolling of smily options one at a time, about 4 pages later getting to txt entry box, but at least it works.
Bah humbug, forums sld be aski. |

Re: Dial-up connections
I'm using dial up at home (BT refuses to upgrade the line from our nearest exchange - no "busness case") and have no problems other than speed.
Are you sure your ISP is not giving you the run around?
