Default Soniqs cables

Just a quick note to say how pleased I am with the Soniqs speaker and interconnect cables I recently bought.

I made up some bi-wire speaker cables, and an interconnect for between Cd player and amp. Existing cables were Maplins ofc speaker cable, and Ixos i/c.

I could hear an immediate improvement in terms of added detail and clarity and reckon they represent great value for money.

Recommended.

Good to hear Bill! I'd like to try - the speaker cable in partic looks very good to me - but my runs are very long and under the carpet. Maybe I'll re-arrange things some day

The Soniqs SQC speaker is top notch! I have just ordered some SQV and more plugs to have a go at bi-wiring. I'am sure it will be a success.

Hi all,

I'm very much in the "Sceptic" camp where fancy cables are concerned, not a proponent of bellwire for speakers or the horrible freebie interconnects that typically7 come with equipment I hasten to point out but definitely not about to mortgage any vital organs to obtain Nordost's latest!

Having said that I've ordered a few M of Soniqs ICT along with my PREIII kits and intend to try some pseudo balanced interconnects based on it -I'm most encouraged to see the favourable comments here!

Cheers
Dave

Hi,

I purchased this cable to make pseudo balanced interconnects to go between the phono3s and my MF pre amp, after long listening tests they have replaced my silver spirals in the system, they sound very clear and open with nice treble.
Also intend to make an arm cable out of this, I will post the results as soon as.

regards

Nigel

Hi Nigel,

I also plan to use it for an arm cable so I look forward to your findings.

Best wishes,

Greg

I have decided to "upgrade" the speaker cable I use with the single driver VoFos and have got some Soniqs SQV coming.

I will keep the Cat 5 "twisted twins" for the 845/KLS3 combo as they are bi-wired.

I finally got around to making a pair of new interconects from the soniqs cable and copper eichmann bullet plugs for the link between deck and phono stage.

First impressions are very good, more space and detail than my old cables which where made from Maplins best solid silver coax with shark phoney plugs.

The rest of my inters are made from DMN solid copper cable and copper eichmann's, stunning sound but - that wire is'nt screened so unsuitable for phono use.

Well worth the effort, thanks WD for this cable and the prompt delivery.

Cheers

Seems a bit strange but i loose power in the bass when i connect the cables so that the coupled screen and return end is at the turntable (as recommended).

I get it back however when i swap them so that the coupled end is at the phono stage.

Maybe im just loosing the plot but i swear i heard a fair difference
