Question about Kel84 Circuit
Hi,
Having hardwired my Kel84 I'm starting to think I should revise my plans and go the whole hog, building a new case and upgrading a few components . However I have a quick question regarding the circuit. The circuit diagram for the Kel84 lists a 22R resistor for R8/9 however my amp has a 220R resistor in this position, and I'm pretty sure I haven't changed it in one of my many upgrades. So which value is correct? Regards, Ewan |

Re: Question about Kel84 Circuit
22R is correct. I gather some wrong value Rs were sent out but am surpriised your amp remained stable. It will have greatly increased feedback and less sensitivity with 220R.

Re: Question about Kel84 Circuit
Hi Richard,
Thanks for the information. I'll make sure I order 22R resistors for the rebuild/upgrade. Ewan |

Re: Question about Kel84 Circuit
Hi Jim,
The photos can be found in this thread: http://www.world-designs.co.uk/forum...ead.php?t=1639 (they're near the bottom) However things are a little crampt for my tastes so I'm currently designing a new chassis for the amp and generally upgrading the innards, hence my question about resistors. However I'll post pictures of the 'revised' version of the amp when it's done. Regards, Ewan |
