Default EBay Step-up Transformers

Hi, Would these microphone transformers be any good as MC step-up transformers? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...EWA%3APIC&rd=1 And if so, am I correct in thinking that the 'matching ratio' is the same as impedance ratio and that the turns ratio would therefore be 1:8?

Thanks,

Fred

Hi,
I think he'a just used a bad choice of words the "matching" the ratio is likely to mean 65:1 step up ratio. a little on the high side for our needs.

Someone with way more experiance than myself feel free to but in !!

Darren,

Thanks for the reply - yes 65:1 as step-up ratio would be a bit too much!! I'll just have to continue looking.

Fred.
