Searching for posts

Hi-i was searching for something i posted eons ago,but when i search ALL my own posts it only goes back the last 500 !

Is there a facility to search past 500 ?

Do the original serach, go the 500th post, note the date, then go back to "Advanced Search" and search for your posts prior to the date you noted using the date search method. Maybe using "a year ago" and "older" would be the best. Using that for your name I got as far back as Jan 6th 2006.

Can you remember some keywords in that post Phil? You can narrow the search down to the date, keyword and author. Might reduce the amount of stuff you have to trawl through anyway.

Hi-i have found a post that other people have been viewing,but cant seen to access the area from the main menus.
The posts seem to be from the "old" gallery and the header is---

world-designs-forum/gallery/DIY gallery

How do i access it ?

Yes, how odd. Well no odder than many of my issues with my beloved computer.

seems to be the page where they all are (found by Googling "world-designs-forum/gallery/diy")
but I, similarly cannot access this from the forum.

Is there an "official" explanation of how to access this page from the forum ?

Hi Philip, all,

That link is to the old DIY Gallery which had to be unlinked when the software was updated at the end of last year.

We've now found it still intact in Admin and have installed it in the DIY Projects Forum as "DIY Pictures" so as to avoid confusion with the new Gallery at the top of the Forum Home Page. Lots if interesting stuff there, thanks

As I recall it, some DIY Gallery pictures (including all mine) vanished for ever some time ago due to some BB software changes or mistakes, or hakers' invasion.
