Default How not to ...

Then again why not! 540volts, a powersupply to provide one heater (10volts 5amps and the other from the abused mains transformer. Lots and lots of dry joints and croc.clips.

Flaming Lips can't really sound worse anyway (DVDAudio), can they?

6S45s as drivers are inappropriate and unecessary but I have quite a few of them and this pair was slugging out things with GM70s.

813s; better than pt15? At this stage it is irrelevant.

Hammond 10K trans, with ultralinear connection hence the 813s!

I think there is no reason why, with some care and a little work, this coudl sound okay.

(but where did I put Paul's GK71s ???)

and I have found out how to upload pictures - would you like to see Ongaku?

a listen is worth a thousand pictures, though ...

or well, why not

hm, thinks, breathes in, breathes out, I thought I'd left a partial explanation but can't find it. So I may be able to put a picture up but where's the txt!

This mess is quite happy at 540volts. 6S45s are not appropriate but were pushing GM70s.

832s probably are v.good, so with a little work, perhaps they will sound better (than p15!?)

Hammond 10K trafos, using ultralinear tap for 832s. Easy to whack up the HT.
