Default Hashimoto TX's anyone?

Anyone dealt with/had any experience with 'Hashimoto' Brand TX's? Japanese origin it seems and bigged-up by Jap SE fans on't netterweb.

Clicky linky winky http://www.obsinc-products.com/servlet/Detail?no=17

Hype or actually quite good? Their 3.5/2.5K SE o/p TX's are $265 (£140 ish) a piece and I'm looking at buying a pair of 'keepers' so I can return the loaned AJ's to NickG I've been using for the last year.

Anything else to consider around the £300-£350 a pair mark? Good Hammonds? Heard Mr Counter's 2A3 LW yesterday, yum. Nice (Cheers fellow bass-head !)

Ta Poppits,

DTB

Cheers Colin, yep James are in the off-ing too, cheaper than the Hashmymotor's and they're a known quantity within the DIY chap fraternity.

Hi Dave

seen this?

http://www.tube-amps.net/

Quite a bit on Hashimoto. Highly regarded in Sansui's heyday (valve receivers etc)

Cheers

Adrian

Yes thanks Adrian,

I did a fair ol' bit of reading there before I posted asking of folks experience here.

Heck of a heritage they've got too.

Cheers

DTB
