Default new section!

A general chat area and for new members to say hello!

I found this nice collection of pics, a bit early for me but pretty nostalgic,

Just wanted to thank Richard for setting up the Coffee Bar - as well as everyone else for their input. Great idea, and welcome to all! Mine's an Espresso.

BUT ! (there's always a but )

Not being used to strong coffee, the day that DTB came to mine (with Andrew I and Mike H) with his coffee grinder and Starbucks beans we had lots of lovely, very tasty coffee.

Trouble is, that night I hardly slept, and I think Andrew suffered a similar fate.

So no coffee for me after mid afternoon.

I've just had a brew of Columbian and Ethiopian Sidamo - very nice it was too; now I've got to work off the caffeine jag.

Ah Mr Ivimey,
Colombian and Ethiopian in the same pot very nice! A man after my own taste, I am on Venezuelan at present.
BTW for those of you seriously into coffee try The Algerian Coffee Stores in Soho W1, www.algcoffee.co.uk good mail order service.

John

Yes, the good thing about The Algerian is that they have promotions on all of the time, do it's a great opportunity to learn about the origin, roast and blend of any one type or variety (blend) of coffee. Caffe vergnano on Charing Cross road is also an interesting place with exquisite coffee. Very much the same theme as the photographs posted by Richard.
