Accessing Gallery
Petercom
You asked us to post on here if we were still having problems. I am finding that the site is much faster in general but on the first page the gallery pictures are not showing (just the little square in the middle with a red cross on it). If I click to open one of the pictures it tells me I am not logged in and takes me to a login page. When I then login again (I was already logged in) the gallery picture opens. If I then go back and try another picture it again tells me I am not logged in and so on. Regards Roger Last edited by Roger A; 9th April 2007 at 03:13 PM. |

Re: Accessing Gallery
Further to the above, I tried switching to another site and then back to WD. When I tried to access the BB I had to login again although I had ticked for it to remember me. I have now tried this three times and the same thing happens - I am having to login afresh each time.

Re: Accessing Gallery
I'll sort out the Remember me (keep ticked) problem later.
But what you are describing is possibly a cookie problem. Try clearing all cookies (in IE go to Tools, Internet Options, Browsing History, Delete Cookies), then log in again. If that doesn't work wait till the DNS trickles through so you can log in at www.world-designs.co.uk/forum/ again. |

Re: Accessing Gallery
Peter, I would guess both problems are cookie related, both works for me (auto login and the thumbnails). Of course the new site may have a new set of cookies as its a new address, but maybe IE is getting confused with the same name, different IP.
Looking at my stored cookies, have you have changed the cookie prefix from bb to wd? That may be the cause of the tempory problems.

Re: Accessing Gallery
I had to tell internet explorer to "always allow cookies" for this site, then relog on. Seems to have worked.

Re: Accessing Gallery
Hi Peter,
Well I can't sort it. I've cleared cookies. I've re-logged in which gets me into the gallery but gives me a big pic of the last post (dac) but doesn't allow me to navigate around the gallery. Delete button on keyboard often doesn't work and item to be deleted has to be highlighted first. I can't load up a thumbnail attachment to a message. I've followed the directions as per the FAQ. After clicking 'upload' I get a 'done' message but a blank screen and nothing gets attached. Other than that it's all much faster and more efficient and clearly Black Stuart (Deep South) can now once again get his voice heard, so a considerable improvement with just a few teething problems to resolve. Well done! Best wishes, Greg |
