As my mam used to say 'a drop of rain wont hurt you, you're not made of sugar you wont melt' although i agree really hard rain is not so nice.

Your mam said absolutely right that the drop of rain will never hurt you as you are not made by sugar..
And I love walking in the rain...!!

I'm with Billy Connolly on this one.
You live in Britain, there's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes !

I'll tell you, weather in Berlin is insane (been here for the last week, visiting friends). On Friday, as I was leaving my friend's place and got to the street (I only had to cross two perpendicular streets to get to my bus stop), it started raining and by the time the traffic light turned green and I had walked through the streets (less than 2 mins!!!), I was soaking wet. And I mean proper soaking - there was water dripping off of everything and there was not even a single inch of my jacket or my tights that wasn't wet. And my shoes were full of water.....

That's what I call craziness.

Last time that happened to me was in London back in October 2010, but we had to run to a meeting for like 5-10 mins, so it was a bit more understandable we got wet.
