Default New Server

Starting at 9 pm tonight we will start moving the forum to our new webhost's server. At some point after this time we will be switching off the forum, copying it to the new server, installing it and updating the DNS.

We expect to complete this by 9 am on the 9th April.

It normally takes up to 24 hours before the new DNS settings propogate through and update all the DNS links.

If you really have withdrawal symptoms during this time you can log in at:

Thanks Peter

Here's hoping that things will be more stable after the switchover.

As usual things took longer to be sorted than expected, largely due to reduced staff at the webhosts on a Bank Holiday (which I suppose should be expected) so the database import wasn't actioned as quickly as I had hoped.

Let us know if there are any problems by leaving a post in the BB problems category.

Hi Peter,

Well done with the website relocation!

It's much faster! (for me anyway, greased lightening in fact!)

Best regards,
Tony

I now have to keep logging in everytime I visit the Forum. Even if I tick the box 'remember me'. Also none of the pictures on the gallery are visible to me now.

Any ideas??

John, please forgive my ignorance but how do I go about doing this? I'm sure it's really simple and maybe even something I've done before but computer speak baffles me .
