Passive Pre Amp using Transformers
With the current high regard that is being given to the to the MF Audio passive pre amp and the main reason for its advantages being the transformers used rather than resistors I would like to see if it is possible to produce something that is nearly as good but much less.
Audio Note seem to be offering somehting along these lines would love to see what you could offer. |

Re: Passive Pre Amp using Transformers
DiyHiFisupply.com in Hong Kong sell the tansformers
Prometheusaudio.com sell them from Indonesia. I have their passive pre-amp; wonderful! Hificollective.co.uk do a kit. David Counter built one. Excellent value for money. |

Re: Passive Pre Amp using Transformers
you won't go far wrong with either of those suggestions
both a lot cheaper than the MF one, in particular as their latest offering is some 7000 pounds

Re: Passive Pre Amp using Transformers
Ask Jan First also do transformers, but no idea how they compare to the other ones mentioned.
