Power amp,pre amp or dac?

A fun question that may throw up some interesting choices, if you had only to pick one of the above what would it be? And if possible elaborate on your choice.

Bob it was not a very well put question by me, I was wondering what members here if they had to pick one valve based component to have in their system, what would it be?

That’s really good Bob that your happy with your system, I guess it’s time to enjoy the music. This week I’ve been playing cd’s and streaming from a solid state hd and using XLR cables for the first time.

Hi Chris, the DAC was the last thing I changed and it was third time lucky to get one which suited

Like Bob I am really happy with my set-up just a few changes in the new year, Richard I am happy with the couple DACs I have, I would love in the future to acquire either the Chord Dave, or the terminator dac or may be the Lampizator tube dac, if ever I find the time it would be really good to get back into using the soldering iron again.
