Default Nice little resistance calculator

Now then

if you are building a project that requires very accurate resistance values such as the those needed in an RIAA network then Pete Millett has this handy little program that was given to him to post by Morgan Jones.

Pete says:

"it's quite cool... just type in any arbitrary resistance value that you want, and the program will calculate a combination using standard 5% or 1% values that will get you close to what you want. It even shows you the color bands that will appear on the required resistors!"

It can be downloaded here

Good job I can now run Windows on my MacBook pro.

Not bad that for 32k of zip file.

Its got the same CRC of the copy I downloaded 6 months ago, so I think its ok.

I've just run it through my Norton anti virus,

didn't find anything, but I don't know if this proves anything

hmm strange he says his pc died after installing it, then ran a virus check and found them, they could have already been there, but he's fairly fastidious about checking the pc regularly

or perhaps they came in whilst downloading? just speculating.
