What's this tube like?

Hi, I've been offered 6 of these tubes, does anyone know anything about them?

Yep just Google the e88cc equivalent it’s all there I use the Russian version of it the 6n1p in my WD CF and like it better than the E88cc

Hi Colin, I think Chris probably means that particular brand. Bob

At first I thought it was a 6N23P, but on closer inspection of the photo, it is clearly not a Russian valve. The getter is a ring and the pins are rounded on their ends.
The Russian 6N23P and 6N1P both have 'flying saucer' getters and 'pointed' ends on the pins.

Does it say Groove Tube on it?

Remember if you do use a 6N1P as an ECC88 replacement they draw 600mA heater current where as the ECC88 and 6N23P only draw 365mA. Be sure your heater supply is able to take the extra current.

Hi all,
The box says E88CC on it so I feel it is safe to assume it is an E88CC/ECC88/6DJ8 type.
I must admit general construction looks typically Mullard/Philips.
