If you are a tax payer then you should, as you will be contributing to them as they look for work.

There is always Amazon to mop up, online on a massive scale. City centre shopping could be a thing of the past, just the betting shops and £ shops to keep us company.

I used to buy from HMV on line but in the end their prices could not compete with others. By way of example, the recent Beatles catalogue vinyl release was £50 cheaper through Amazon.

I'd like an explanation on that comment. In other words, I don't understand your point.

where youse boys bin these last few months?! Amazon only makes profits in countries where they dont have to pay tax. So although they did say £11,000,000 of business in the UK they paid no tax in the UK. At least Starbucks apologised for such outrageous behaviour. (The exact facts and figures are freely available) Amazon is capitalism; they are no friend to teh consumer - only teh consumer who can pay. HMV was a victim of this - its interesting that somehow the public get the blame though - it was us downloading etc etc that 's why HMV failed and no mention was made of the world recession and dodgy tax avoidance schemes that allow multi-nationals getting away with immoral behaviour.
