Default new speakers

my speaker maker friend has gotten me doing some speakers.

using eminence beta drivers, 10" seem the best really, doen'st look like much to be gained with a 12 or 15", in a cabinet.

Emienence compression tweeter, horn loaded, in an optimised cabinet.

He says the drivers have very low distortion, and are pretty flat, esp. the tweeter.

He's been using them for years, dirt cheap, too £32 for a big p.a. driver, £14 for the tweeter, twill end up with big bass and around 250 watts real world power handling, its going to be very interesting, 97db's sensitive!!

how's that, for £90 ish plus wood/build time, or get a prebuilt cabinet, suprisingly cheap, that's less than a crappy scanspeak single woofer with tiny magnet.

One can add 2x 18" bass units for....£73 each!!

higly recommended solution for those with valve amps, eminence know their stuff and do optimised xovers, easy load.
