Forum Headers different on two computers
Hi Peter
I have a frustrating display problem with the forum. On my iMac upstairs I can see a quick links item on the header menus with the search option next to it. However on my MacBook pro that item is replaced by a "Mark Forums Read" option and the search item is next to the calendar. In other words things are not in the same place and one item is not there. Almost without exception every time I want to look at new posts on my MacBook pro I end up marking all the forums read. This is driving me crazy. I've searched high and low in the user CP and can find no way of getting the quick links to appear and that damned "Mark Forums Read" option to disappear. Help Peter

Re: Forum Headers different on two computers
AFAIK these settings are affected by the Styles you select (and seem to be more problematic with Macs than with other computers).
Can I suggest you try: a) select the Bulletin style b) log out and delete all cookies c) log back in again ticking the Remember Me box Hope this helps I wonder whether you have something left over from other Vbulletin forums, maybe even the old WAD forum, which is affecting this as I've never seen the menu you have shown. You can also try repeating the three steps above but choosing the SilverBullet style. It's a matter of trial and error I'm afraid. |

Re: Forum Headers different on two computers
Thanks Peter
I'll try purging cookies and preference files on the MacBook. I migrated all my data and settings over from my iMac when I bought the MacBook so there might be something in the left over old WAD forum theory. I'll have a furtle around. Steve

Re: Forum Headers different on two computers
Well I had to furtle a bit more than I bargained for.
One OSX reinstall later and everything is ticketty boo. The data transfer I did originally when I got the new MacBook must have brought over something that prevented Safari displaying the forum properly. Ah well, never mind Steve
